Meditations

"Today there are millions of people whom dire need has distanced from God, and millions who reject God because they feel abandoned by Him.  But even Jesus Himself needed an angel to comfort Him when He feared death, and so God will be merciful to all the disillusioned who did not feel the touch of this angel's wings.  For them, the mystery of suffering is so dark, they cannot glimpse the glow of God's love concealed in it.  A kind word, an understanding glance, a little sympathy, a spark of love may well be enough to bring them nearer to God again."
