Chaldean leader condemns Muslims' failure to counteract ISIS

"It is quite shocking to see the insufficiency of the official Islamic community that only denounced these acts by shy and helpless statements, showing the absence of a real role in raising the awareness of the public about the impending danger of ISIS in the name of religion."

Speaking at a conference in Vienna Nov. 18, 2014, Patriarch Louis Raphael Sako, head of the Chaldean Church bemoans the lack of a significant response on the part of the Muslim world in the face of what he called the "barbarous acts" of ISIS--committed "in the name of Islam."
