Since the outbreak of war in Syria in 2011 and the invasion
of ISIS in Iraq in 2014:
Aid to the Church in Need donors have
provided close to $67M in emergency humanitarian aid (food, shelter, medicine)
and pastoral care to devastated Christian communities in Syria, Iraq and
Lebanon.
Together, we can continue to restore and strengthen Christian communities in the Middle East. These ancient Christian communities are the leaven of Christianity around the world. They are the keepers of rich traditions and culture; they are the living testimonies of rich spiritual traditions; and they are the bridge-builders of democracy in hostile environments.
Most importantly, these Christians are our brothers and
sisters in faith -- we cannot ignore their suffering. The ACN programs can be
the difference between life and death for Christian children and families in
the Middle East.
