"We are all simple, but important, instruments of His; we have not received the gift of faith to keep it hidden, but rather to spread it so that it can illumine a great many of our brethren on their journey."  Pope Francis

Aid to the Church in Need is a pontifical charity. The Holy Father’s wish is for us to help our suffering brothers and sisters in faith, a call to action, as the founder of Aid to the Church in Need, Father Werenfried, put it in his testament.  More than a matter of material goods or money, it is a matter of saving human souls. That is why we must take Christ to others. This is the pastoral foundation of our work. We, all of us together, fulfill this task. Thank you.

Aid to the Church in Need is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; Federal Tax Identification Number: 86-1089466. Donations to Aid to the Church in Need are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable under the law. Donations will be used to reflect donor intent to the extent feasible. When a project is funded, additional donations fund programs wherever the need is greatest.

How Your Gifts Were used 2014

Together we are keeping the Faith alive
when we help seminarians to understand their vocations more deeply, when we provide religious sisters with the means they need for catechesis or for their work with young people, and when we help parishes to build churches  where they can live from the Eucharist and adore God in the Blessed Sacrament.

Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament is the treasure of the Church. It gives strength and consolation, and renews us in hope and confidence for the tasks ahead.
Aid to the Church in Need, an International Catholic charity, is comprised of 17 independent offices around the world. Though independent, all of our offices work in a collaborative manner.

The international office is located in Germany, and acts as our central source for information and project management for grants.

In this way, our mission to help build up the faith where it is so desperately needed is operated more efficiently and funds are distributed without unnecessary delay.
